School IPM Coordinators, facilities managers, custodians and others are invited to participate in Rodent Academy to be held at the University of Southern Maine, Portland Campus, October 29-30, 2019. This two-day event is an excellent opportunity to learn everything you need to know to keep mice and rats out of your buildings and protect your student and staff from rodent-carried diseases and respiratory illness such as asthma.
Using a combination of classroom learning, hands-on exercises and real-world inspection activities, participants will learn best practice methods for monitoring, preventing and managing rodent pests in and around schools, homes, offices, parks, restaurants—any setting where these animals can become pests. This program is two full days of instruction.
Who Should Attend? Health officials, health inspectors, building inspectors, housing and facilities managers, school IPM coordinators, pest control professionals, colleges and universities, food industry professionals, building owners, sanitation professionals and Extension educators. Approximately two seats will be allocated per organization until the maximum capacity of 40 participants is reached.
