The Entomological Society of America is seeking candidates to serve in the position of editor-in-chief of the Journal of Economic Entomology (JEE). The current editor-in-chief, John Trumble, is stepping down after a distinguished term of service. The new editor-in-chief will begin his or her term in January 2019.
Due to the volume of submissions received by JEE, ESA welcomes joint applications from individuals wishing to serve together as co-editors-in-chief as well as applications from individuals wishing to serve as sole editor-in-chief.
The JEE editor(s)-in-chief will develop and implement the journal’s overarching vision and strategy and provide scientific leadership for the journal. ESA seeks applicants with significant experience writing, editing, and reviewing scientific manuscripts. Candidates should be able to devote considerable time and energy to ensure that articles published in JEE are of the highest quality and interest. A complete position description is available online.
About the Publication
The most-cited journal in entomology, the Journal of Economic Entomology (JEE) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes research on insects of economic importance, with sections on apiculture and social insects, insecticides, biological control, household and structural insects, crop protection, forest entomology, and more.
