Team Member, Sustainable Food Group

Part-time team member position available with a growing independent non-profit organization working to improve sustainability in agriculture and communities through Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Responsibilities include providing audit and administrative support to several certification programs with an emphasis on sustainable agriculture practices.

The individual in this position will work with project teams, project partners and clients to support program verification, which supports growers and businesses around the world as they improve their sustainability performance. Responsibilities include supporting work on finalizing and launching a new sustainable agriculture addendum to food safety audits, the planning and execution of the triennial International IPM Symposium, supporting Sysco’s Sustainable/IPM program, the Potato Sustainability Initiative, the Pesticide Risk Tool, and other related organization efforts as needed.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to execute detailed SOPs, the ability to work independently, and interest in sustainable agriculture and community health. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential. Spanish language proficiency is a plus. References are required.

Flexible schedule, 20 hours per week, hourly compensation commensurate with skills and experience ($13 – $14 per hour). Our team currently works on more than a dozen projects to increase adoption of IPM and other best practices that reduce risks to health and the environment from pesticide and nutrient use in agriculture and communities, improve soil health, water quality and air quality and improve working conditions.
