North Central Region School IPM Working Group

Our working group’s goal is to reduce pest and pesticide hazards to children, school staff and visitors and make schools healthier places for our children. To achieve this goal, we are..

  • working to create a network among school IPM programs in the north-central region to facilitate the sharing of resources, information, and tools to minimize duplications of effort.
  • making an effort to identify current and emerging regional needs, and improve documentation of current status and progress towards full implementation of high-level IPM in schools across the north-central region.
  • working with several other School IPM Working Groups representing regions across the nation to implement the National School IPM Strategic Plan. The goal of this plan is to have high-level IPM programs implemented in all school districts nationwide by 2020.
