Researcher (Plant Pathologist) - American Samoa Community College
The researcher will plan, conduct, analyze, and publish plant pathology research, approved by a merit review panel, that focuses on an integrated approach to protect sustainable production of taro, banana, and other tropical crops. S/he will purchase, operate, and maintain pertinent laboratory and field equipment and supplies. S/he will develop and teach college-level courses in plant protection and plant sciences, serve as a resource person for the Cooperative Extension Service (CES), and possibly train and supervise assistants and students. Public Service Representative/Public Service Assistant in Biological and Agricultural Engineering - University of Georgia
The faculty member will be responsible for implementing an extension and applied research program aimed at reducing climate and weather risks in agriculture and natural resource management in Georgia and other southeastern states under the auspices of the Southeast Climate Consortium. He/she will conduct research on the impact of climate variability and climate change on agriculture and natural resources, with an emphasis on the development and implementation of decision aids that are to be used by extension agents, farmers, and natural resource managers. Professor and Head of Entomology Department - Texas A&M University
The Department Head holds the academic appointment of Professor in Entomology. The successful candidate will provide administrative direction for scholarship in departmental teaching, research, extension and regulatory activities. The Department of Biology at Utah State University invites applications for a 12-month tenure-track position in entomology at the Assistant Professor rank. The successful applicant will be expected to develop and implement education and training programs involving arthropods of economic importance, and to establish a research program. Potential areas of focus include field and forage crops, rangeland, turfgrass, and urban entomology. The position also involves supervision of the Utah Cooperative Agricultural Pest Survey program. IPM Manager - Baltimore City Health Department
The IPM Manager will collaborate with city agencies to develop and implement integrated pest management (IPM) plans in their facilities and train staff from a variety of agencies in IPM and safe pesticide use. Program Manager - National Center for Healthy Housing
This is a mid-level program manager position with focus on lead poisoning and healthy housing research, demonstration, policy, and evaluation. Job responsibilities include preparing technical documents and reports, informational bulletins, monographs and proposals for funding, developing and presenting training sessions, providing technical assistance to public and private organizations, designing and implementing evaluations that investigate specific hazard identification and control techniques and assisting the executive director on public policy initiatives.
