As of April, pharmaceutical company Bayer has been sued by 52,500 U.S. plaintiffs who blame glyphosate-based weedkillers like Roundup for their cancer. Bayer will be paying around $9.6 billion to settle existing lawsuits and another $1.25 billion to cover potential litigation in the future.
