EPA Region 5, based in Chicago, is soon going to be hiring people to join us in meeting this commitment. This work calls for scientific capacity to help the Agency identify and address disproportionate and cumulative environmental and human health impacts as we carry out our programs. It also calls for partnership and coordination – working with state and local governments, and engaging with community advocates and residents, to advance community well-being and resilience.
When these jobs are announced, applicants will have a limited time to apply. EPA recommends that anyone potentially interested in applying for a position get prepared by:
- Building a USAJobs profile (see https://www.usajobs.gov/Help/how-to/account/profile/ for instructions). These, and other federal government positions, will all be announced on USAJobs.gov. Creating a profile is the first step to accessing these opportunities.
- Create and save a search so that you’re notified when jobs are posted (see https://www.usajobs.gov/Help/how-to/search/save/)
- Upload or build a resume, so that you’ll be ready to apply when a job becomes available. (See https://www.usajobs.gov/Help/how-to/account/documents/resume/upload/)
