Part-time administrative assistant position available with a growing independent non-profit organization working to improve sustainability in agriculture and communities through Integrated Pest Management (IPM).

Duties include vendor relations, maintain current and organized financial filing system, assist in QuickBooks data entry, phone reception and general clerical/administrative support.

Ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to work independently and demonstrated interest in non-profit work. Excellent verbal and written communications and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Intuit QuickBooks or other accounting software required. Successful candidate will work collaboratively with staff partners and perform a variety of tasks in support of the Institute’s many projects.

The IPM Institute of North America, Inc. is a non-profit organization formed in 1998. Our mission is to improve sustainability in agriculture and communities by using the power of the marketplace. Our team currently works on more than a dozen projects to increase adoption of IPM and other best practices that reduce risks to health and the environment from pesticide and nutrient use in agriculture and communities, improve working conditions, soil health, water quality and air quality.

Flexible schedule in a casual office, 20-25 hours per week, hourly compensation commensurate with skills and experience ($13-$14 per hour). This position offers potential for advancement. Available benefits include retirement plan, paid vacation and holidays. Office located in downtown Madison, on bus routes.
