MSU Fruit School scholarships

The 2009 MSU Tree Fruit IPM School will be held February 16-18 at the Kellogg Biological Station in Hickory Corners, MI. Wanna go?
Registration is $375/person and our eco-apple grant can pay for your registration if you are actively participating in the work. The registration fee includes 2 nights lodging (no single rooms available), all meals from lunch on Monday through breakfast on Wednesday, refreshments, speaker handouts and speaker expenses.
They are asking for registration before January 5th. If you let us know by that date, we can send in your registration. You would then only be responsible for travel costs.(We are thankful that the cost of gas has gone way down this winter!)

Email Lisa DiPietro at or call 608.265.3637 to have us cover your registration. If you have dietary concerns or people you prefer to room with, let her know. If it would be helpful to have this session count toward Certified Crop Consultant credits or pesticide applicator recertification credits, please let us know and we will pursue these credits on your behalf.
With the phasing out of organophosphates in mind, there will be a grower/consultant panel discussing new insecticides.
Sessions include:
Streptomycin resistance
codling moth management
insecticide rainfast characteristics
borer survey and mating disruption update
American brown rot sensitivity
Japanese beetle
name that canker
apple scab
fire blight
evening pub quiz
