Supply Chain Engagement

Supply chain engagement via surveys and interviews can help companies establish sustainability baselines and show progress toward goals when communicating with stakeholders. They can also inform practices and policies that improve environmental and economic supply chain sustainability.

Interviews and/or surveys can follow a Pesticide or Agricultural Risk Assessment, or they can be a stand-alone method of gaining a greater understanding of practices, attitudes and outcomes in your supply chain. This approach is best for companies who have a strong relationship with their growers and suppliers and/or have the time and resources to establish a relationship throughout the project.

Sustainable Food Group can conduct any or all of the following tasks:

  • Develop interview and survey questions
  • Outline best practices for survey/interview execution
  • Administer surveys
  • Conduct interviews
  • Analyze results

Survey/interview topics might include integrated pest management, nutrient use, water use, farm economics, emissions, and attitudes towards sustainability.
