John arranged for four growers to speak for 5-10 minutes each, giving a synopsis of their usual and/or expected thinning approaches. Two were small orchards with very dissimilar methods, the third was a medium sized orchard [for Wisconsin] employing more intensive growing practices than average, the fourth orchard was a large orchard with significant wholesale as well as retail sales.
