Another day, another tick news alert.
If your newsfeed feels flooded with tick stories lately, it’s not just you. Major outlets including The New York Times, The Atlantic, and NBC News have all covered the surge in tick-borne disease this summer, and the data backs up the headlines: The number of U.S. counties considered high-risk for Lyme disease has more than doubled since the late 1990s, growing from 396 to 842, according to research published by the CDC.
Every October, the professionals working the front lines of that story, including pest management experts, veterinarians, public health officials, and land managers, log on for Tick Academy. Last year, about 115 attendees came from 31 states and eight countries. They represented a mix of pest management professionals, veterinary professionals, public health officials, natural resource professionals, land managers, professors, students, researchers, business owners, and more.
We’re expecting another strong turnout this year. Will your company be there? Sponsoring Tick Academy puts your brand directly in front of them, at the exact moment they’re looking for solutions.
Tick Academy is a two-day virtual event hosted by IPM Institute of North America, with support from the North Central IPM Center, on Oct. 14-15. Day one focuses on veterinary topics; day two on outreach and management. Our attendees have expressed interest in insect repellents, vaccines, policy, veterinary solutions, tick control, tools to increase awareness of ticks and tick-borne disease, surveillance, protection plans, and more.
These confirmed sponsors have already committed to show up for this audience: SC Johnson, Tick BYTES, and Tick Box.
If your company works in personal protection and repellents, tick control products and technology, pest management, or veterinary and animal health, you belong on this list. Tick Academy gives you a stage in front of the exact people who buy, recommend, and use products like yours, while standing behind credible, science-based public health education.
“Tick-borne disease isn’t slowing down, and neither is Tick Academy,” says Christopher Stevenson, executive director of IPM Institute of North America. “Every sponsor who joins us puts real resources behind the people already in this fight.”
Sponsorship is available at three levels, and every sponsor is listed on the Tick Academy webpage, mentioned in each day’s opening remarks, and acknowledged across LinkedIn, X, and Facebook. Some sponsor levels include a lightning talk slot and the full attendee list. All sponsors receive at least one complimentary registration.
